Third Graders Collaborate on Research Projects Integrating Science, Reading, and Writing

Kings Highway third graders participated in research clubs as part of an integrated science, reading, and writing unit. They explored various animals before narrowing their focus to specific subtopics within their groups. Using their research notes, students wrote individual chapters and collaborated to create group books that taught others about their chosen animal. Finally, they typed their chapters and compiled them into a comprehensive group book showcasing their research.

In-School Art Show Diplays

Kings Highway School's Art Department, with the support of incredible parent volunteers Brandie Redd and Allison El-Gamal, has been preparing for the upcoming in-school Art Show, which will take place during conference week. Every student had the opportunity to review their artwork from the school year and select one piece to be displayed.
