It’s a busy time of year for third graders at KHS. To practice mindfulness, students created thoughtful messages of encouragement and positivity for one another. Each child took time to reflect and write something kind and uplifting. Classes also began their morning walking the track, enjoying fresh air and light exercise to help them feel focused and ready for the day. It was a wonderful example of students supporting one another and building a growth mindset together.
KHS held its third Rise and Ride event during Earth Month. Students and their families gathered on the track before the start of the school day to ride laps—a fun and energizing way to get their bodies moving and to prepare for the day ahead. Joined by Westport Police, Westport Walk Bike, and CB Sportif, students learned about bike and helmet safety. They were encouraged to see biking as a healthy form of exercise that also supports the environment.
