Mrs. Griffin, KHS Literacy Coach, "crafted" a way to bring Kings Highway School even more together. Stemming from our recent One School One Book community read, Ranger in Time: Oregon Trail by Kate Messner, Ms. Griffin invited students to create quilt squares to share about themselves. Each square shares a memory or representation of the student's individuality. Many classrooms used this activity as a buddy activity with younger classmates. The squares create one large united quilt. We look forward to welcoming Kate Messner to KHS this week.
