In Workshop, third grade students culminated a two month study of force and motion by creating their own Rube Goldberg chain reactions.  They incorporated multiple simple machines in their designs. They reflected on their growth in the process thinking about the habits of mind of taking reasonable risks, persisting, and thinking flexibly.
