Kings Highway School recently wrapped up a celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month. Led by Ms. Luppino and a parent volunteer, interested students stayed after school to learn about Colombian traditions such as the holiday lights in Medellín, Día de las Velitas, and family novenas with buñuelos, natilla, and traditional songs. Students also explored Guatemalan culture by learning about worry dolls and making their own. To end the celebration, everyone enjoyed tasting buñuelos together.
