Kings Highway first graders had a blast participating in a March Madness Book Bracket! Throughout the month, students listened to and compared a variety of stories, voting for their favorites each round. The final matchup came down to The Giving Tree and Salt in His Shoes, sparking thoughtful conversations about character, kindness, and perseverance. In a close finish, The Giving Tree won by just 2 points, making it this year’s first-grade champion.  It was a wonderful way to build excitement around reading while practicing forming opinions and supporting choices.
