Fifth graders at Kings Highway School brought their Spanish learning to life through a lively “mercado mexicano.” As a culminating activity, students acted as buyers and sellers, using only Spanish to run shops, greet customers, and negotiate with play money. The room buzzed with excitement and creativity as students showcased their skills. This hands-on experience strengthened real-world language use while deepening their appreciation for Mexican culture.
