Fifth graders at Kings Highway School brought their Spanish learning to life through a lively “mercado mexicano.” As a culminating activity, students acted as buyers and sellers, using only Spanish to run shops, greet customers, and negotiate with play money.

Kindergarten students have been busy learning to identify and name animals en español! Working in small groups, students drew a variety of creatures and labeled their habitats. It was a joy to watch them present their masterpieces to the class. From the depths of el océano to the trees of la selva and the fences of la granja, our young linguists did a fantastic job categorizing where their favorite animals live.
